today has just been so surprisingly wonderful.

#1 someone discovered “the lucky one” preview + i absolutely swooned while watching it {after trying to hunt it down two weeks ago.}

#2 i have ultimately decided i need “the help” dvd for Christmas {which came out today.}

#3 dia frampton’s album came out today + i just so happened upon the blue sky project’s music yesterday from these old {but still, wonderfully magical} Clorox commericals. i. am. giddy.

#4 a friend was talking about no-bake cookies… therefore I ran out to pick up sticks of margarine + cocoa this morning.

#5 my red dress from kohl’s arrives today. yippee! finally…

when i consider the miracles God has sent my way, i see blessings.

gifts such as a cozy two-bedroom apartment,

a job with benefits,

+ even having my health.

can i just say it is such a comfort knowing i got the best catch ever?

seriously.

my husband is my perfect fit.

& i'm thankful for every bridge burned + broken heart it took to get here.

::for every guy that said, "i just want to be friends" or "we can still be friends."

::or told me i didn't open up enough to them.

:: or just plain wanted me to be something i wasn't.

& you know what? i didn't. give. in. during the aftermath, i didn't turn around + look in the rearview mirror & try to give it another shot. i didn't even attempt to keep their friendship {i think that is a dangerous game to play with someone anyways.} & even though i may regret some words i said, every action i took was the right one. i fought for my own strength + finally got enough guts to refuse to date anyone for 2 years.

sometimes, it makes me sad when girls + even grown women settle for less than they deserve. they throw away any personal preference or identifier they have to be what their boyfriend wants. my gosh! i wish they knew the confidence they can have in knowing the freedom singleness has! or that they have the power to tell a guy, "no." & let me tell you, when you discover intuition... it's pretty life-changing.

so today i'm thankful for the boy that i share a mailbox with.

the same boy that cuddles with my cats as much as i do,

that gets up at 5 am just to drive me to work,

that sits through endless afternoons of chick flicks,

& still lets me keep pink blankets + heart-shaped pillows on the couch.

oh. my. october just flew by.

& now as i embrace my lovely vacation time,

i can look forward to even more holidays +

vacationing in the coming months ahead.

#5 reunite the tripod {after almost two years... good gracious!}

#6 go see black swan & little fockers

#7 perhaps start to read a book?

#8 be with the boy who was absent for far too long...

my patient could not stop singing hymns and christmas carols all day today. i found myself singing along while charting. And i couldn't help but smile every time he exclaimed, "amen, amen!"

{unrealistic} wish list

oh there are so many cute, sparkly and just plain lovely things i want for christmas this year! {not any of which i asked for, except perhaps one}. but, a girl can dream can't she?

here are the visions of sugarplums dancing in my head::

1. Ugg bailey button triplet boot {whew, that's a mouthful}. and may i suggest to those of you who love ugg boots as i do, buy kids boots! seriously, they are about $30 cheaper.

2. Coach poppy fragrance. holy moly, this new perfume smells so freakin' good!

3. FEED eco burlap bag. it's for a good cause. plus they are super big {that's my kinda purse}!

4. Brita {pink!} water filter. their new commercial just made me want to get one even more. and they have pink ones at bed+bath! check out their commercial here.

5. glitter/sparkly heels! oh my gracious these are SO popular this year. and they are cute + sparkly. my favorite combination.

6. macaroons. i've seen these little {what i think look like tiny, colorful hamburgers} delicacies photog'ed everywhere. not only that, but Blair Waldorf was eating them. they have to be good then, right?

7. Starbucks burlap travel mug. now that i'm starting to make my own coffee and all...

8. Lauren Conrad style book. all of Lauren's personal style tips. plus, i just adore her!

i think it's very diverse... another list-making success! hehe {i just had to get it out of my system.}
