what to do {at JBU}

I'm a list-maker. That's right, I'm owning up to it! Shopping, groceries, music, movies, bucket lists, blog ideas, more shopping... all contained in lists! Right now, my itouch has 9 lists. And there are many others strewn about my desk. None which are organized in any shape or form.

But I'm so ready for the next three days off {my weekend}. So in light of the occasion, SURPRISE! I made a list...

Hmmm... maybe I should have added sleeping in too... well, that's kind of a given I guess.

{my} friday five

I guess I would have Sarah Dessen to thank for her original idea of The Friday Five {basically anything and everything from the week, whether it be good or bad, that made my top five.} Not really that complicated at all...

1. The Apple Airport. I'm officially frustrated with mine and trying to get it to work. Then again, I always make technology harder than what it really is... wireless internet within the next week? I'll keep you updated.

2. I am in love with my new camera {picture taken above, courtesy of me.} I am hoping to figure out all the little features and gadgets... I might need a teacher.

3. Did I seriously wait this long to paint my toenails? I won't go into detail. It's just plain sad. Of course I decided on neon pink. My summer favorite.

4. I have officially decided to hike up a mountain {Long's Peak?} this summer in Colorado. The treadmill and I need to become best friends rather quickly... Where's the motivation?

5. So looking forward to this coming week and visiting JBU! I'm already making a list {as I am a list-maker} of what I want to do. Now that the weather's warming up to my liking it should be a little easier.

Have a great weekend my few followers! :)

{this} made my day

Can I just say that I had the best weekend in a LONG time?! Partly because I was home-home {in Kansas}, and partly because I got to spend time with some incredibly awesome girls in the youth group. It was D-Now weekend {Disciple Now} and the 2nd I've gotten the privilege to be apart of.

But let's have the pictures do more of the talking... here's quite possibly my favorite out of the whole weekend:

...and I honestly LOVED Harvesters and the volunteer work we did that day. Amazingly, the boys had time to do this:

... which I'm sure was instigated by my boyfriend...

...funny how boys are easily entertained.

Let's just say that our group was more productive {as evidenced below}:

I wish the weekend could have lasted longer...

a {simple} start

I'm not a writer, my profession is very far from it. but I need a way to get my thoughts out before they cram in my head. Therefore, the blog was born {with some inspiration from a few other bloggers... thanks guys}. I promise I will give you TONS of credit later.

Also, props to my favorite authors who have a lot to do with my sudden blog appearance: Megan McCafferty (where sarcasm truly came to LIFE), Meg Cabot, and of course the lovely Sarah Dessen. For without her, I would have never rediscovered innocence and fairytales within the pages I digest.

So, here's to something new.
