As many who know me {well}, you have heard my opinionated outcry of the {lack of} talent that comes in the form of {some} popular music. Ok, ok... I actually find myself enjoying most of what is considered to be such, but not just because everyone else says "OMG, it's so amaaaaaaaazing"...

So, when I tell you that I DO NOT like the hit show Glee or the musical stylings of Owl City, I am being completely truthful.

I find Glee to be a copycat version of High School Musical that takes awesome musical numbers and turns them into farce with crappy singing.

And Owl City... good gracious! Does every song have to sound EXACTLY alike???

the answer is:: yes.

Confession:: I now have "Don't Stop Believin' " sung by the Glee Cast and "The Bird and the Worm" by Owl City on my iphone...

guilty.

Don't expect me to be goin' out and buying the Owl City album or watching Glee anytime soon though....

when we think about God's will for our lives what immediately comes to mind? for me, it's that everyone wants to KNOW what it is! many often find themselves praying for an answer, or for His plan to be revealed to them. we get so specific that we make an excuse of "i'm just settling otherwise"...

i think you need to STOP.

stop thinking that your plans,

schedule,

rules,

and high strung standards

will fall into God's file box for you.

embrace the unknown.

and have a little faith.

{something} blue

"marry in blue, lover be true."

My little sister has been begging me numerous times to put pictures of my ring on Facebook.

I decided I should put them on here instead.

And upon looking up the wedding custom of "something old, something new...", it turns out having "something blue" represents love, modesty, and fidelity. And before the late 19th century, blue was the popular wedding gown color!

Never thought I'd get a blue opal ring either! It's actually a hilarious story that has to do with my fiance's colorblindness- but none the less...

it fits.

in more ways than one.
