"As a doctor I want to say "thank you" to you and all the other nurses. . . Doctors often get the credit for successes in treating patients but nurses are the ones most patients will remember for their care."
I had one of my favorite patients die last week after a long fight with her leukemia. I couldn't even take a nap today without waking up every 30 minutes thinking about her.
This postcard had the memories come flooding back.
